Welcome to Cygnet Folk Festival – where there is music,  community and people striving do our best to tread lightly on this beautiful land.

This year, we’re putting sustainability first.
We’re not just talking about it – we’re doing it.

Here’s how you can help:

Bring your own cup, plate, cutlery and drink bottle.
Not just for the campground – bring them into the festival venues too.
Food stalls and bars will happily serve you using your own plates and cups.

Sort your waste – we can help!
You’ll see clearly marked bins for Compost, Recycling, and Recycle Rewards.
It only takes a second to get it right – and it makes a big difference.

And here’s the big one: please don’t bring rubbish.
We’re treating the festival like a national park –
If you bring it in, you take it out.

Why?
Because we’re going zero waste and you are a part of the journey

That means:

  • No single-use packaging from us or our stallholders.
  • No landfill bins –no red lid bins anywhere.
  • If it can’t be composted or recycled, it doesn’t belong here.

We’re also part of Recycle Rewards.

Pop your cans and plastic drink bottles in the designated bins or donate your refunds to support the festival year-round.

We’ve been working towards this for years.
And in 2025, the amount of landfill waste we generated was so tiny, it inspired us to go all in.

This year’s theme is Every Note for the Planet.
Because every song, every poem, every moment shared here is a little love letter to the Earth.

We’re using music to connect – across cultures, across ideas – and now, as a tool for real change.

We’re proud to run a festival where you don’t have to feel guilty just for having a meal and a drink.
You can dance, sing, celebrate – and know you’re part of something that’s actually doing good for our planet.

Every note counts.
Every action matters.
Let’s make this the most sustainable Cygnet Folk Festival yet.
