Last January

Every year the organisers of the Cygnet Folk Festival claim that this festival will be even better than last year. And each year the claim is true, as more and more people get involved and build on the experience of past organisers and the successes of all the previous festivals.

Each year the festival swells just slightly, this year bursting out of 9 venues and in to 10 with the welcome addition of the Middle Pub as a formal venue

In January 2008, Roger Joseph, as Festival Director, led the dedicated volunteer committee as they willingly jumped into the traces of the Cygnet juggernaut and pulled together to create another superlative community event, with an incredible line up of artists from around Tasmania, Australia and from overseas.
